Leela is the Oxfam International Chief Operating Officer. Previously, she was Oxfam’s Associate Director Confederation Development, and Head of Operations for Oxfam South Africa. Leela is an explorer of the human condition, passionate advocate for a multi-disciplinary approach to building organizations that are engineered to balance money, people, values and social issues reflecting worldviews that allow idealism and pragmatism to co -exist and change is possible in this lifetime. Thrives in leading change in complex environments where design and execution come together successfully. 

She is a coach with a specific focus on supporting people through transitions. 25 years of work experience in sectors ranging from Corporate to INGO to Entrepreneurial ventures. Leela served on the OiP Board of Trustees since July 2019.
